COUN526 : Group Counseling Theory and Practice

Explore different theoretical approaches to counseling groups. Understand basic principles of group dynamics, including leadership tasks, developmental stages, and member roles. Develop essential group counseling skills, including establishing, leading, and evaluating various counseling groups, including mental health process, school-based, and addiction groups. This course also includes an experiential component in which each student will participate in group therapy.
