Admission Criteria for Counselor Education

Clinical Mental Health Counseling

To receive admission to the Counselor Education program (Clinical Mental Health) at Georgetown College, applicants must meet the following criteria and provide:

  • Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA
  • All official transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation, two of which must be from former professors
  • A statement of purpose (300-500 words) that describes professional and academic goals and how a degree in counseling will help the applicant achieve them with explanation of career aspirations, and why they are motivated to purse graduate studies at this time.
